The first of the month is always crazy for us because we are busy allocating inventory and packing boxes, so we skipped last week’s post, but this one more than makes up for it…we’ve got big news! Let’s get started!
June boxes are out! If you have an automatic delivery trigger, then you should have received a notice that your box is on the way! (Remember we don’t send ammunition automatically unless you have a trigger set up.)
Did You Know: Your subscription is charged on the 1st of the month, but if you have a desire to get your payment taken out on a different day of the month, we can set up a custom schedule for you – just contact us.
Now onward and upward for our July allocation! We’ve been so busy filling orders that we haven’t had time to add new calibers to the site. That is about to change and your dear friends will be amazed this month. We are planning to bring out A TON of new stuff over the coming weeks.
In fact, we have FIFTEEN new caliber/quality grade combinations ready to go for June. The plan looks like this:
- Week 1: (This week) Revolver Rounds: 357 Magnum and 44 Magnum
- Week 2: Hunting Rifle Rounds: 30-30, 30-06 and 308
- Week 3: New Handgun Options: 357 Sig, 45 ACP 185gr, and 10mm XTP
- Week 4: 12ga Target, 308 Match
- Bonus: Specialty Rounds: Frangible 9mm, 45 and 223
How is that for listening to customer requests? (Okay, okay we know, if you are the guy that’s been requesting 7.62x54R twice per day for the last month we haven’t yet added that but we’ll get to it don’t worry!)
Anyway, in the meantime, if any of these interest you, be sure to watch our newsletter and website for announcements and links.
Bummer Dude… you got 404’d…
So on to bigger news: As we mentioned in our last newsletter, we’re about to start upgrading our system so that it provides more options, more functionality and most of all IS EASIER TO USE. We appreciate all of our awesome followers and customers who alerted us to site issues and bugs and were patient as we worked through the cumbersome interface… but something’s got to change!
So new custom software is on the horizon!
Here’s the rub:
We need to raise a bunch of capital to fund this little gem. And custom software development ain’t cheap. Our goal is $50,000… yeah we know that’s a chunk of change.
Of course, we don’t want to take on investors that might try to take over and change things and we’d prefer not to add bank debt… so our first thought was: You guessed it…
“Well, if you can’t raise fifty-thousand dollars with an impromptu car wash, I guess it just wasn’t in the cards.”
Okay so our car wash wasn’t a smashing success, it had a positive side: while Dan was washing out those monster truck tires, he got another idea:
While we would like to raise the $50,000 for our new software system, we won’t go “hat in hand” with nothing else to offer.
Details are still fuzzy but we want to both reward and thank our amazing customers while creating a win-win situation for everyone…
We’re planning on offering a limited number of “Super Discounts” for ammunition. Something even below our cost… like 25 to 50% off all your ammunition up to a certain cap. It would work something like this: You prepay X amount and get a Super Discount you can apply to your ammunition that pays back 150% over the time of whatever you paid in.
You win and we win and everyone benefits from the new features and functionality we can offer customers. (and no more crazy car washes!)
More details to come, including a page dedicated to the crowdfunding efforts and our new software build.
Hey, revolver fans! We now have some heavy-duty self-defense/hunting rounds available in 357 Mag and 44 Mag. We’ll continue to fill out the subscription options with plinking ammo down the road, but we wanted to get some good dual-purpose stuff up there for everyone that’s been asking for these two rounds…
Hornady 240gr 44 Magnum XTP – a good general-purpose defense/hunting round for your Dirty Harry gun…
Here’s a little more umph for you .38/357 shooters… 158gr Hornady XTP in 357 Magnum.
That’s it for this week!
