There's An App For That

Did you know that we recently launched an "app" for AmmoSquared? No we weren't able to somehow bribe Apple or Google to let us on their respective app stores, we launched it independently of those tech monopolies...

The next time you sign in to your account on AmmoSquared, on a mobile device, tablet, or even a laptop, you'll see this:

This button let's you install the AmmoSquared app on your device (yes even a computer). The benefit of this is that you no longer have to open your browser, find ammosquared.com, and sign in to access your account.

Instead with the app icon added to your device home screen, your ammosquared account is literally right there at your fingertips!

It seems like ever since we started we've had customers ask us why we aren't on the Apple or Google Play store. Why we didn't have an app...

The answer, as I'm sure you can guess, is that since we sell ammunition, we're not allowed to list on any app store. It is pretty ridiculous when you think about it.

Even now, our "app" is really just an easy way to access our mobile site. The app that is added to your mobile phone, tablet or computer is a shortcut to your account using your browser. It has some great functionality though such as being able to go right to your account and not having to log in every time. You can also set up notifications from your phone or computer so you can get those right away.

This is our way around the draconian rules the app stores have. On the bright side, it means that none of your data is sitting with Google or Apple and they can't shut us down because they don't like ammunition sales. When you are on the app stores you are at the whim of other entities and we refuse to be put in that position... Remember when the popular Strelock Ballistic App was removed because the founder was Russian?

Yeah we don't want to be in that position with our app, so it is home grown and installable on any machine right from your customer dashboard. Try it out!
